PFL Water Softener with Logix Control

The PFL water softener is a central softening system that operates on the ion exchange principle. The special resin removes calcium and magnesium ions from the tap water, which are responsible for water hardness and thus for limescale deposits.

With softened water, pipes, boilers, water heaters, heat exchangers, and household appliances scale up significantly slower. This extends their lifespan, maintains the efficiency of the heating system, and reduces maintenance costs as well as the consumption of detergents and cleaning agents.

The Logix control head uses modern electronic control: It monitors water consumption and starts regeneration automatically and volume-dependently. This limits salt and water consumption to what is necessary, ensuring consistently economical operation.

Which size is right?

The appropriate size depends on the peak flow rate and daily water consumption. For single-family and two-family homes, sizes with 13–18 liters of resin are usually sufficient; for high consumption, multiple bathrooms, or multiple dwelling units, models with 25 or 30 liters are recommended. The stated capacity refers to a water hardness of 10 °dH – with harder water, the cycle between two regenerations shortens accordingly.

Note: For connection and commissioning, a pre-filter, a shut-off and bypass group, and a wastewater connection are required. Installation should be carried out by a specialist.
